Mills Greenhouse & Landscaoe opened for business in 1980 by Johnny Mills. Johnny received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Biology and Physical Education. As a member of the UT football team, he held the record for the most receiving yards in a single game for 35 years. Johnny acquired his love for the outdoors working at Pine Mountain Settlement School in Bledsoe, KY where he was a teacher. Johnny is also licensed and certified in Pest Control Application.

  Carla Mills is originally from Harlan, KY. Carla has a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Lincoln Memorial University and a Masters degree from Union College. She also obtained a Rank 1 from Eastern Kentucky University (30 hours above a Masters degree).She met Johnny while teaching in Harlan and they decided to move back to Elizabethton with her 12 year old son, Hannon.

  Hannon Howard attended East Tennessee State University and was a top honor student. He received a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design, attending East Tennessee State University. Hannon achieved his love for the outdoors through the influence of Johnny and working at Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Parks. He is also licensed and certified in pest control application, along with being a Tennessee Certified Nursery Professional (TCNP), promoting a higher standard in the industry. Hannon received an award at WSCC as Horticulturist of the year. Hannon married his wife Jennifer, in September of 2000. Jennifer is originally from Norman, OK. She works as a Dental Hygienist in Jonesborough, TN.

Hannon and Jennifer also have a son. His name is Holston Elijah Howard. Born April 25, 2003

They have two dogs: Lucy and Kaybee.
